Since 1964, Carlos Romero Huxley and Regina Calzada de Romero have ventured into the leather business, associating in the north of the country. In 1973 they started manufacturing women's shoes. By 1984, after more than 10 years of experience in the Mexican high-end footwear market, the Regina Romero brand is launched with its historic store in Presidente Masaryk in Mexico City. In this launch the vision of a woman crystallizes, that of Regina Romero herself: “What I propose is footwear for Mexican women today: a contemporary-timeless design, manufactured to European quality standards, and taking advantage of the thoroughness and passion of Mexican artisans."
The woman who gave her name to one of the most famous footwear brands in Mexico has always embodied the values she transmits through her creations: femininity, a safe and versatile style, a totally contemporary image; and above all, the certainty that women can do everything, and that their clothes and footwear accompany them in this mission.
